A Poem

My 2-year-old has neon green snot.

She thinks it’s very pretty.

I do not.

The pretty snot face is on the mend, but her poor baby brother is terribly congested and crusty. He’s such a happy guy that he’ll cough, cry, and then smile in quick succession. Our family is a walking petri dish.

Poor boy can only sleep when he’s upright in the Ergo. I do enjoy the view I have. (Please ignore the black dog hair stuck in his nose crust. I’m just trying to keep it real.)

  1. And the thing about trying to take off that black dog hair is that it’s crusted in and won’t come off easily…and then he’ll wake up. So much better to just let it go.

Am planning to mail that art book to you today or tomorrow. Just buried under life right now.

Babies and colds are not fun. Cupcake has had two already and not even 6 months old! I comfort myself with some study I read which says childhood illnesses lower the risks of things like childhood leukemia. Feel better soon!
