National Pro-Life T-Shirt Day – April 24

Want an easy way to make your pro-life views known? Join other pro-lifers and wear a pro-life tee on April 24.

April 24, 2007 has been designated National Pro-Life T-Shirt Day. I first learned about the observance last year from a fellow Catholic mom. It was an easy yet profound way for me to make a statement about the sanctity of life. The day also serves as a reminder to pray for the justice of unborn babies and mothers.

Just think of the impact we could all have by wearing pro-life t-shirts on the same day while we go about our daily activities. How many people do you encounter on any given day while you’re at work, running errands, breaking a sweat at the gym or waiting in line at the grocery store? Our solidarity is what gives us the power to make change, so help give a voice to the unborn and sport a pro-life tee on Tuesday, April 24.

I ordered my tee last year from http://www.nationalprolifetshirtday.com/, but more pro-life designs are available at http://www.christianshirts.net/prolife1.php.

Get your entire family involved and wear what you believe.

Hi, I’m Kate

I’m a wife, mom of five kids, writer, speaker, storyteller, bibliophile, runner, eating disorder survivor, and perfectionist in recovery. I'm the author of Getting Past Perfect: Finding Joy & Grace in the Messiness of Motherhood  and Weightless: Making Peace With Your Body.

I’ve tried a lot of things in my life – anorexia, bulimia, law school, teaching aerobics, extended breastfeeding, vegetarianism, trying to be perfect and failing miserably at it – and through it all I’ve been writing. And learning to embrace the messiness of life instead of covering it up, making excuses for it, or being ashamed of my brokenness or my home’s sticky counters.

Nowadays I’m striving every single, imperfect day to strike a balance between keeping it real and keeping it joyful.
