After a “quick takes” hiatus, I’m back. For this week’s edition, I’m sharing closeups of our newest addition (born on Palm Sunday) because I don’t want to forget…
…the way her tiny ear moves with each suck when she nurses.
…the way her small starburst hand wraps tightly around my finger.
…the way smiles flutter across her face like sunbeams.
…the way her rosebud lips purse and then smack just before she’s ready to eat.
…the dark, soft hair covering her head.
…her tiny, perfect feet.
…her button nose.
I want to remember it all – every delicious detail. Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned during my mom tenure, it’s that babies don’t keep.

Beautiful baby! Congratulations on your third gorgeous girl!
Ohhhhh Kate…. those pictures are soooooo making me want another baby! She’s absolutely scrumptious! At least once tonight when you cuddle her, smell her head for ME. That’s what I miss the most when they grow up… the heavenly smell of a baby’s head.
Bless you!
Jennifer
Kate,she is so amazing….
I can’t wait to see my granddaughter! She’ll be here so soon.
These pics reminded me of how fleeting the time is. I can’t believe how quickly my children have grown. We are celebrating my youngest son’s 7th bday today – and my eldest will soon be 23! How can this be?!
Precious!
Oh she is perfectly adorable. Those baby days are so fleeting.
