Precious. I love it and it looks like M.E is going to keep her pretty blue eyes. Hope you all are having a great summer…we'll have to get together soon.

Ok – so, let me get down to business. I have two gorgeous girls. GORGEOUS. But in my unbiased opinion….your three are incredible examples of God's creation. How can you stand the perfection ;)

    Love this!!

I LOVE THE BOBS ON LITTLE GIRLS!! They are absolutely beautiful Kate. You are so blessed.

And by the way, I left a comment for you on Inside Catholic. That person made your article out to be something it wasn't. You did a fantastic job and you were right on the money in my opinion… as you so often are. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and life with us online.

    Kate, they're lovely!

And Mary Elizabeth is getting so sweet and chubby. It's amazing how fast babies grow, isn't it?

I love those photos – just too precious!

Hi, I’m Kate

I’m a wife, mom of five kids, writer, speaker, storyteller, bibliophile, runner, eating disorder survivor, and perfectionist in recovery. I'm the author of Getting Past Perfect: Finding Joy & Grace in the Messiness of Motherhood  and Weightless: Making Peace With Your Body.

I’ve tried a lot of things in my life – anorexia, bulimia, law school, teaching aerobics, extended breastfeeding, vegetarianism, trying to be perfect and failing miserably at it – and through it all I’ve been writing. And learning to embrace the messiness of life instead of covering it up, making excuses for it, or being ashamed of my brokenness or my home’s sticky counters.

Nowadays I’m striving every single, imperfect day to strike a balance between keeping it real and keeping it joyful.
