Ok – I've always struggled with math. Sadly, even today…simple, SIMPLE math. I bet if I had such a cute face peeking at me through their I would be a prodigy :) What a blessing!

Peek a Boo!! You both look radiant!

As an amateur photographer myself, I want to know: who took the shot? Very nice. I LOVE your smile, Kate.

My husband did. It's hard not to be jealous of the guy. :-) He's a natural photographer, never gets angry, a stinkin' doctor, funny, and a great dad. So glad I found him!!!

(I'm not the best photographer so if you see a not-so-good shot, then I probably took it!)

Adorable! And awesome that your hubby takes pics, especially good ones! Mine doesn't ever take pics so pretty much any pic of me and Baby was taken by my mother-in-law of by me (yay for timers on cameras!)

Hi, I’m Kate

I’m a wife, mom of five kids, writer, speaker, storyteller, bibliophile, runner, eating disorder survivor, and perfectionist in recovery. I'm the author of Getting Past Perfect: Finding Joy & Grace in the Messiness of Motherhood  and Weightless: Making Peace With Your Body.

I’ve tried a lot of things in my life – anorexia, bulimia, law school, teaching aerobics, extended breastfeeding, vegetarianism, trying to be perfect and failing miserably at it – and through it all I’ve been writing. And learning to embrace the messiness of life instead of covering it up, making excuses for it, or being ashamed of my brokenness or my home’s sticky counters.

Nowadays I’m striving every single, imperfect day to strike a balance between keeping it real and keeping it joyful.
