Exciting news! The Catholic News Agency has launched a new site dedicated to women where you’ll get a daily dose of reflections on faith and living. The Phases of Womanhood site inspired the CNA’s Catholic Womanhood resource.
From today’s big announcement:
“Catholic Womanhood is a place for women of faith to consider and discuss issues of today’s culture and society, everyday life and work, and the pursuit of holiness within the universal Church.
Nearly 30 columnists, commentators and bloggers are slated to contribute their thoughts and reflections to the site. Topics to be covered, from a faithful Catholic perspective, include motherhood and child care, mature womanhood, adolescence, personal and spiritual growth, family and friendships, methods of renewing Catholic culture in the modern world, advice on finding time to pray and living the Church’s liturgical year, as well as tips on traveling, fashion and maintaining good health.”
I’m humbled to have the opportunity to contribute over at the CNA website from time to time. Today I share an exclusive interview with Scott Hahn. Yes, the Scott Hahn. We chatted about his newest book, Signs of Life: 40 Catholic Customs and Their Biblical Roots (which I highly recommend for cradle Catholics, converts, reverts, or anyone interested in learning more about the Catholic faith). Our conversation meandered onto other topics like the vocation of motherhood and living our faith rather than just studying it. It was one of those encounters that started off as a professional interview and ended up being so much more – almost like a mini spiritual retreat to my day. You can read the column here.
While you’re over there please do check out the entire site. It’s just another way Catholics are answering Pope Benedict’s invitation to give the Internet a soul.
Have a wonderful week!
