Weightless on the airwaves

I have two radio interviews scheduled for this week where I’ll be discussing my book and topics related to food, body image, etc.

(I’m trying to schedule as many interviews as possible during this newborn phase when our Thomas is happy snoozing, snuggling, or nursing and also while I still have some helping hands on deck. Thanks, Nana and Mama!)

Hope you can tune in!

Tuesday, September 6th

For all you early birds, I’ll be speaking on the Son Rise Morning Show in the 6:45 a.m. (EST) time slot. You can also listen to the audio archive on their website after the interview airs.

Wednesday, September 7th

I’ll be chatting about Weightless on Radio Maria’s Francesca and Friends at noon (EST). The hour-long interview will encore on the followiung Monday, September 12th at 2 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. as well as other times arund the country on various affiliate stations. The show will be archived on the Radio Maria website as well.

Hi, I’m Kate

I’m a wife, mom of five kids, writer, speaker, storyteller, bibliophile, runner, eating disorder survivor, and perfectionist in recovery. I'm the author of Getting Past Perfect: Finding Joy & Grace in the Messiness of Motherhood  and Weightless: Making Peace With Your Body.

I’ve tried a lot of things in my life – anorexia, bulimia, law school, teaching aerobics, extended breastfeeding, vegetarianism, trying to be perfect and failing miserably at it – and through it all I’ve been writing. And learning to embrace the messiness of life instead of covering it up, making excuses for it, or being ashamed of my brokenness or my home’s sticky counters.

Nowadays I’m striving every single, imperfect day to strike a balance between keeping it real and keeping it joyful.

“She could never be a saint, but she thought she could be a martyr if they killed her quick.”

―Flannery O'Connor
