4-Year-Old: Mommy, I had a dream last night that you went into labor. Maybe the baby will come today!

I’m still praying for you, Katie! I usually went 40-42 weeks with my babies. And then they weighed 10-11 pounds at delivery! So don’t get too impatient! It could be worse! :)
She’ll be here so soon, and this will all be a memory. Take it from “Grandma” here, who knows the truth of this first hand.
    Hugs!!!

You’re gonna have a great labor I think, after all the baby is halfway there :) I’m so excited for you, D-Day is wonderful!!

I was in the exact same place with my 4th…knowing I was half-way there and wondering if “tonight would be the night”! (My body seems to like to go into labor at night.) It really will be any day now!!! Hang in there!!! I’m checking your blog frequently for news :)

I wonder how a four-year-old’s dream about labor would go? :)

Hi, I’m Kate

I'm the author of two nonfiction books Getting Past Perfect and Weightless, a storyteller*, overthinker, eating disorder survivor, mom of five, book junkie, socially awkward nerd as well as a speaker (so basically a walking and talking contradiction), and a perfectionist in recovery.

I am currently working towards my MFA in Fiction at Warren Wilson. Thank you to everyone who has read my drafts, offered feedback, and cheered me on. The writing life is often solitary, but I wouldn’t be here without a community of support.
