If Only I Could Take Her Up On It

Said a nocturnal wee one at dusk: Now, Mommy, if you need me in the middle of the night to hold the baby, you can wake me up. Really. It’s okay. I can help.

Aww, what a sweet daughter – but then, she has a sweet model in her mother.

I wish she could REALLY help too. I hope this week flies by for the reflux to ease!!!

    Many prayers!

Oh how precious!! How are things going? How is the sleep coming along? Reflux issues any better? Praying you sleep tonight!
    Love,

That is the sweetest thing to say. LOL

For whatever reason, your posts have not shown in my reader for sometime. When I logged on today, 15 of yours popped up. I have been catching up and needed to tell you congrats on your new addition! Your honesty is preparing me for what’s to come…our third baby in November. But it’s your way of focusing back on your faith that will guide me. I plan on rereading these in November as you snooze (because your baby will be 7 months) and I am pacing the floor with tired eyes rocking/nursing a baby. :)

    Sweetest big sister ever!

Hi, I’m Kate

I'm the author of two nonfiction books Getting Past Perfect and Weightless, a storyteller*, overthinker, eating disorder survivor, mom of five, book junkie, socially awkward nerd as well as a speaker (so basically a walking and talking contradiction), and a perfectionist in recovery.

I am currently working towards my MFA in Fiction at Warren Wilson. Thank you to everyone who has read my drafts, offered feedback, and cheered me on. The writing life is often solitary, but I wouldn’t be here without a community of support.
