Bosom Buddies

Rae and I took a break from the sand and sun during our recent beach vacation to nurse our babies.

I love it! Wait'll you have a little son try to do it. It's pretty cute and funny.

My son was asking (in the store) the other day if we were going to get bottles for the new baby and I said, "no, new baby shouldn't need bottles." Then that look came over his face and he said, "oh yeah! You feed babies with your body!"

After I clicked out and smiled at the picture again, I realized that she's even got the doll in the right position–tummy to tummy! Way to go, girl! :)

That may be one of the cutest things I've ever seen! Jaina was one to nurse her stuffed animals and dolls, too. But I don't think anyone ever got a picture of it!

I have a picture nursing my doll when I was little, and I treasure it! But how adorable to see you both doing this together :)

You look AWESOME by the way!

I am currently working towards my MFA in Fiction at Warren Wilson. Thank you to everyone who has read my drafts, offered feedback, and cheered me on. The writing life is often solitary, but I wouldn’t be here without a community of support.
