I’m playing dress up over at the ever-talented and incredibly chic Betty Beguiles. Seriously, Betty and I have got to meet one of these days. Not only are we both Southern Belles, but Betty shares my love for  faith, fashion, and family. Oh, and I owe her a big one for introducing me to ShabbyRead the whole post >>

Guest Blogger: A Word from My Baby Brother

Josh and I are only 18 months apart, and we’ve always been close. I used to boss him around and force him to be my obedient student while we played school. Sometimes we’d build elaborate Lego lands. Our backyard was the place of many adventures. We had an old rope hammock, and I’d pretend itRead the whole post >>

A Note From My Mom

Inspired by Rachel Balducci of Testosterhome, one of my favorite bloggers, who recently invited her family members to guest blog while she focused on caring for her toddler after a broken femur (please pray for Mom and Henry during this difficult recovery period!), I’m sharing a post from my own dear mom. Hi, I’m Kate

I'm the author of two nonfiction books Getting Past Perfect and Weightless, a storyteller*, overthinker, eating disorder survivor, mom of five, book junkie, socially awkward nerd as well as a speaker (so basically a walking and talking contradiction), and a perfectionist in recovery.

I am currently working towards my MFA in Fiction at Warren Wilson. Thank you to everyone who has read my drafts, offered feedback, and cheered me on. The writing life is often solitary, but I wouldn’t be here without a community of support.
