Here are a few new Internet hangouts I’ll be frequenting (especially the bon bon one): Faith & Family Live: Coined the daily blog for Catholic living, the website covers the homefront – from faith to homemaking tips. Plus, it features some great mom voices, including Danielle Bean, Rebecca Teti, Rachel Balducci, Lisa Hendey, and ArwenRead the whole post >>

TV Turnoff Week

Once upon a time my children NEVER watched any television. I know, I know. I was one of those annoying moms who was floating around in a bubble of pride because my child was shielded from all that junk on TV. Well, let’s just say a second child, a slew of Disney movies compliments ofRead the whole post >>

No-Hassle, Delicious Crock Pot Chicken

Hi, I’m Kate

I'm the author of two nonfiction books Getting Past Perfect and Weightless, a storyteller*, overthinker, eating disorder survivor, mom of five, book junkie, socially awkward nerd as well as a speaker (so basically a walking and talking contradiction), and a perfectionist in recovery.

I am currently working towards my MFA in Fiction at Warren Wilson. Thank you to everyone who has read my drafts, offered feedback, and cheered me on. The writing life is often solitary, but I wouldn’t be here without a community of support.
