I’m over at Faith & Family LIVE today (and so is Madeline searching for the great pumpkin two years ago) talking about how my family heralds in the fall. Won’t you stop by and share your own ways of savoring this golden season? *I’m not officially (or spiritually) back yet, but things are looking up.Read the whole post >>

Small Successes 15

1. I carved away some time for an evening walk with a dear friend leaving the older girls behind. The baby slept the entire time, and I appreciated how easy having only a newborn is now (throw in toddler and preschooler and things can get a little crazy). Hi, I’m Kate

I'm the author of two nonfiction books Getting Past Perfect and Weightless, a storyteller*, overthinker, eating disorder survivor, mom of five, book junkie, socially awkward nerd as well as a speaker (so basically a walking and talking contradiction), and a perfectionist in recovery.

I am currently working towards my MFA in Fiction at Warren Wilson. Thank you to everyone who has read my drafts, offered feedback, and cheered me on. The writing life is often solitary, but I wouldn’t be here without a community of support.
